Red Barn Farms Minis was established in 2017, however we have been breeding Miniature Dachshunds since 2014. Prior to breeding Miniature Dachshunds, I grew up with them. My original dachshund was born in 2004 & sadly passed in 2020 just after her 16th birthday.
All of our dogs & puppies are raised in our home with access to a fenced in yard. In order to prevent diseases, such as parvo, our puppies are not allowed to be outside on the ground until they have received all of their puppy vaccinations (between 12-14 weeks) due to their compromrised immune systems. We are stay at home "fur parents", and we provide the best possible care to all of our dogs & puppies. We feed a Prey Model Raw diet to our dogs & puppies to provide the best possible diet to them --- check out the raw feeding tab for more info. If you need to verify any vet care, feel free to contact our vets at Sparta Road Veterinary Clinic in McMinnville, TN (all vet records are in Robbie Forth's name); if you are local, I highly recommend them!
We provide support for our puppies for their LIFETIME. Feel free to contact us any day at any hour with any concerns you may have, whether it be a medical concern or just a question about what harness to get. And, of course, always send us pupdates throughout the years! Our pups are a part of family, whether they live with us or your family!
One of the main focuses with our breeding program is breeding dilutes free of the genetic disorder CDA (color dilution alopecia). A majority of dilutes, blues & isabellas, are affected by CDA and that genetic defect continues to be bred in by backyard breeders & puppy mills. We are, however, working on our 3rd generation of dilutes WITHOUT any signs of CDA. We have spent years trying to produce lines free of CDA, and we are making serious progress. We do offer full breeding rights to approved breeders; we need more breeders out there striving to produces the BEST quality and continue to strive for dilutes without CDA.
We offer personal delivery & shipping in cabin for all of our puppies. Check out the current puppies page, and click on the delivery & shipping button.
